Coronavirus and Travel Plans
Due to coronavirus, many conferences are canceling with very little notice. DEM team members have already been impacted by cancellations. Additionally, questions are being asked what to do if a team member elects to not attend – even though the conference is still occurring.
Conference canceled
- Team member should contact Fox World travel to cancel any travel arrangements. Depending on the airlines, etc. – there may or may not be a cancellation fee. Any remaining balance would be saved as a voucher for future travel (this is not transferable, must be for business). Expiration of voucher will be determined by Fox World.
- Team member should contact conference to request refund, etc. Depending on the conference, it may be either a full , partial, no refund or credit.
- Any charges should be documented either for Pcard Statements or Expense Reports.
- Team member should request not to travel via their supervisor. At the unit discretion, this can be approved.
- If approved to not travel, team member should contact Fox World travel to cancel any travel arrangements. Depending on the airlines, etc. – there may or may not be a cancellation fee.
