Spring 2020 Admitted and Prospective Student Events

As we continue to admit students off of the wait list and work to finalize decisions for students who requested an extension to June 1, our admitted student programming has continued throughout May and will run throughout June and July. We will offer weekly Admitted Student Information Sessions along with weekly Next Steps Panels, which will feature the Office of Student Financial Aid, Credit Evaluation Services, University Housing, University Health Services, and the Center for the First-Year Experience. We will also offer Wisconsin Experience sessions every other week that showcase the high-impact practices available on campus. All these events allow students and their families to connect with a variety of teams and resources to get their questions answered in the moment and help them make their decision of where to attend college in the fall. We will continue to offer opportunities to connect with our Wisconsin Admissions Volunteers (WAVs), who are able to share the current UW student perspective via social media and in virtual student Q&A panels.   We also continue to serve the prospective student population via events. Virtual Information Sessions are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are working to develop a summer Open House and work on virtual and in-person options for our fall events. We will continue to integrate social media and WAV’s into the recruitment of rising seniors and transfer students for spring, summer, and fall 2021 and beyond.
