Leave Reminders for June 30 End of Fiscal Year (Academic Staff & Limited Team Members)

Check Your Legal Holiday Balance (https://uwservice.wisconsin.edu/calendars-schedules/legal-holidays/)—if a Legal Holiday falls on a Saturday (such as July 4, 2020), team members have 8 hours of Legal Holiday that can be used on any day they choose during the current fiscal year, and it is reported in MyUW using “Request Absence.” Academic Staff and Limited team members should check your Legal Holiday balances, which should currently be 0. If you have a balance of 8 hours of Legal Holiday, you need to use those 8 hour of floating Legal Holiday from Saturday, July 4, 2020 by June 30, 2021 or you will lose it. Please report 8 hour of “Legal Holiday” using “Absence Request” in MyUW. Vacation Carryover—The Vacation Carryover deadline has been extended from June 30, 2021 to October 9, 2021 (https://news.wisc.edu/vacation-carryover-deadline-extended-to-oct-9/). Personal Holiday—Personal Holiday hours need to be used by June 30, 2021 or they will be lost. 2022 Fiscal Year starting on July 1, 2021—On July 1, Academic Staff and Limited team members’ current Vacation will roll over into the 2022 fiscal year (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022) as Carryover Vacation. You will be allocated 176 hours of Vacation and 36 hours of Personal Holiday for the new fiscal year.
