Rockstar RO team goes above and beyond keeping the lights on

The COVID-19 pandemic has required a lot from everyone, and since March 2020 everyone has been pitching in to complete the demanding work that the pandemic has produced. While supporting the university during the pandemic, the Office of the Registrar was also maintaining our standard business practices and completing many of the initiatives in our project portfolio, team members went beyond keeping the lights on, but also improved processes, increased efficiency, and improved the services we provide to students, faculty and staff.  To be more specific, throughout FY21 and the first quarter of FY22 the office completed 33 initiatives of various sizes! Currently the RO has 11 projects in progress. In planning for this fiscal year and determining which projects were to be completed, project ideas were submitted, project data was analyzed (urgency, impact, value, efficiency, compliance, governance, etc.), priorities were determined, and now the work has begun! Moving forward the RO will begin additional projects based on priority and resource capacity, provide centralized project updates, and work on developing strategies to more effectively and efficiently communicate about the project portfolio.
