Door Security Technology Changing

UW is implementing a new door security system across campus called Lenel.  Several DEM team members have been working with UWPD to set up our new door access structure. 333 East Campus Mall implementation is scheduled to start on April 18. 702 West Johnson will occur at a later date still to be determined. What does this mean for you?  Not much, however when the technicians are in the building updating the card scanners, all doors will be set to lock.  This means you will either need to have a key to get into the area or will need to have doors propped open for access. Once converted to the new system, you should continue to have the same access you always had with one change. You will no longer need to have a PIN to get into the building outside of building hours.
