Todd Reck Selected an Exceptional Division of Student Life Partner

Todd Reck has been selected as one of the exceptional Division of Student Life partners and was honored at the end-of-year recognition event and celebration at the Memorial Union on May 15. Todd has been an integral partner to the Dean of Students Office over the course of the past two years and has made a tremendous impact. He joined forces to create a new committee in partnership with the Dean of Students Office to address and review students who are not making satisfactory academic progress(SAP) which impacts a student’s financial aid. The goal of this committee is to identify what challenges students might be facing that are preventing them from being successful at UW–Madison. Todd has demonstrated that a greater campus wide effort to address student success and collaborating with the right areas can diminish the number of students who are failing SAP. Most recently, Todd and the Dean of Students office collaborated around reaching out to students from the foster care system. He also collaborated with the office in having a conversation with a concerned parent of a Stoneman Douglas High school alumni that is a current student and his other son who is a prospective student. His care and compassion during the meeting were evident. The Dean of Student Office is lucky to have our campus partner Todd Reck as a colleague and we are a better office because of him and his work. Congratulations Todd Reck for receiving the Dean of Students Partnership award.
