Fall High School Counselor Events

This fall, the Office of Admissions and Recruitment (OAR) hosted a number of events to engage with high school counselors. In Illinois, OAR hosted four events that included counselor breakfasts in Oak Brook and Skokie and a more focused breakfast for counselors who serve students in the south suburbs of Chicago. OAR also offered a counselor lunch for counselors at high schools and community-based organizations in the City of Chicago. In Minnesota, OAR hosted two counselor breakfasts in Roseville and Bloomington the week of October 24. These events focus on sharing information on how to support students applying to and interested in UW–Madison, our holistic admission process, and the university as a whole. These events provide counselors with the opportunity to ask their specific question of the team and get more focused information. They also allow the team from the Office of Admission and Recruitment to build upon existing relationships with high school counselors and to forge new ones that help to support future Badgers.
