Lumen Updates – October 2018

The Guide team released a mid-cycle update on October 19th of the Guide. Over 120 programs had updates to some of their Guide content as part of the mid-cycle update. The next Guide mid-cycle update is scheduled for early January. Guide training for new editors of non-governed Guide content occurred this past month. Over 40 new Guide editors were trained on the software, UW–Madison business cycles, and Guide interaction with the new Lumen-Programs software. Now that the DARS team is receiving program updates through Lumen workflow, they have begun strategizing how to make the workflow work for the team and their encoding service partners. 14 new curricular representatives were trained on Class Section Builder and SIS this past month. Additionally, over a dozen seasoned curricular representatives took part in an encore training on how to use Class Section Builder.
