RO team’s work highlighted during Love Data Week

Two reports from the Office of the Registrar (RO) were featured on Feb. 16 as part of the annual Love Data Week. Each year, the Big Ten Academic Alliance hosts Love Data Week. As part of this event, the University of Wisconsin–Madison celebrates the analysis and underlying statistics that quantify success and provide key context about institutional operations. As part of the fanfare, the Data, Academic Planning & Institutional Research (DAPIR) office highlighted some of the most visited public Tableau workbooks across campus – including the Dean’s List and the UW–Madison Enrollment Report, which are prepared by the RO’s Data Reporting and Eligibility team – in a special e-newsletter. “It’s no surprise these two reports showcasing key student milestones rank among the highest-viewed workbooks,” said Will Lipske, Associate Registrar for Academic Services. “These data provide key insights about the university and are often points of pride for our students and their families, as well as the larger campus community, alumni, and the state as a whole. I love how this celebrates the role the Data, Reporting, & Eligibility team plays designing and maintaining these visualizations, as well as key processes numerous colleagues in the RO manage. We’re grateful to play a role in highlighting students’ achievements.” Learn more about Love Data Week on DAPIR’s website.
