22 give blood during DEM’s March blood drive

Nearly two dozen people rolled up their sleeves and donated blood during the Division of Enrollment Management’s blood drive on March 7. Twenty-two donors — from within DEM and from outside the Division — took part in the event, which was held on the 11th floor of 333 East Campus Mall. Seven of the donors gave blood for the first time. The drive took place during a critical period for the American Red Cross. At the beginning of this year, the organization said it was experiencing the lowest number of people giving blood in two decades. Each donation can help save multiple lives. If you missed the March 7 blood drive but would still like to donate, a list of upcoming blood drives is available on the Red Cross’ website.
