OSFA @ WASFAA
A few team members were able to (only sort of) escape the FAFSA chaos a few weeks back and attended the Wisconsin Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA)’s Annual Conference in Appleton, WI. There, they were able to attend sessions and network with colleagues from around the state.
OSFA members, Katy Weisenburger and Jeff (JP) Pfund), were celebrated for their work helping pass the Wisconsin Financial Aid Modernization Act and as member of WASFAA’s Government Relations committee, were chosen as Committee of the Year.
Then to end the conference, on Friday, April 12th, Katy Weisenburger took to the stage and accepted the gavel to become WASFSAA’s newest President and will spend the next year guiding and giving hope to financial aid administrators across Wisconsin! Her opening speech set out her goals for the association and include building efficiencies, balancing the budget, increasing membership engagement, and reviewing an preparing strategic plans.
