The Office of Student Financial Aid distributes a weekly email focused on Implicit Bias with some videos to watch, articles to read, and other events around campus and the community that we encourage you to attend if your schedule allows.
Video of the Week: “The Other America” by Martin Luther King Jr. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRI5W95cI4A). This video is about 48 minutes to watch. You could certainly just listen to it if you prefer podcasts to videos. The content of this speech is still very relevant despite it being 50 years old.
Article of the Week: 2019’s States with the Most Racial Progress (https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-the-most-and-least-racial-progress/18428/). You have probably seen this report referenced in a variety of articles the past few weeks. Wisconsin is currently ranked as the most segregated state in the country and has a bevy of other poor ranks.
