Folks, here are some things I’ve been working on in May:
  • Transfer Agreements – We have recently completed new transfer agreements with Nicolet Technical College and Milwaukee Area Technical College. We are doing some further thinking with Madison College transfers that will add some exciting opportunities for our collaboration.
  • Madison College Scholars of Promise – I was honored to participate in an event at Madison College in which Chancellor Blank and President Daniels signed an MOA to have MC’s Scholars of Promise attend UW–Madison for two years free of tuition and fees, once they achieve admission here. This is our commitment to these Scholars regardless of whether or not they qualify for Bucky’s Tuition Promise or the Badger Promise. Our first cohort of Scholars will be here in fall 2019.
  • Salesforce CRM – Work is underway to complete our first-ever recruitment CRM for undergraduate admissions. It is expected to be in use for the next recruitment season. The Division of Continuing Studies is partnering with us on this exciting project. Our Salesforce CRM is scheduled to go live in early July. I’ve been having discussions with campus partners, and potential new campus partners, about the enterprise use of this new service.
  • DEM’s IT Desktop Support Contract – We are in the process of negotiating a new contract for desktop support with DoIT. We have been working with them to review staff satisfaction survey information and looking at various options. It is our intention to work with DoIT to have in-house support for a set number of hours each week, which should help with response times and conflict resolution. The new contract, once final, will go into effect July 1st.
  • Representation for Campus Hiring Projects – I have been involved with the interviews and events for several recent campus hires, including the Vice Provost for UW Libraries, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and the Chief Information Officer. All three new leaders have been hired and are scheduled to begin their tenures by the start of the new academic year.
