Welcome RO Data Specialists – February 2019

Eric Durkee and Maria Peters started as Data Specialists with the Office of the Registrar on February 18th. The Data Specialists are integral to the official student and curricular reporting functions of the office and university. These positions provide academic data and information to UW–Madison faculty and staff and to the public, as well as assist the campus community by being engaged in various data-related communities. Eric most recently worked as an IS Specialist within the Office of the Registrar coordinating tuition setup among other projects. Eric has worked with data processing and querying for many years, including as the UW System Data Coordinator responsible for the Central Data Request (CDR) through which all UW campuses provide data for official reporting purposes.  Since completing her bachelor’s degree at UW–Madison, Maria has been working with data, querying and visualizations, most recently as a Business Information Specialist at Navitus Health Solutions
