WiGrow for Student Employees

Over the summer, Nicole Kaforski and Wendy Crabb joined the WiGROW Steering Committee in an effort to further support Office of Admissions and Recruitment student employees in their roles. These efforts include providing educational, growth-mindset, and reflection opportunities around the professional development student employees are engaging in. Additionally, Nicole is working to establish the WiGROW program and practices as a standard resource for all supervisors of student employees to utilize within the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Last fall, WiGROW sent out experience surveys to students and supervisors in each of its participating 12 divisions and departments across campus. These survey results reflect and highlight the work student supervisors incorporating WiGROW are doing to help build connections with student employees and prepare them for life after graduation. Key findings from these surveys include the top skills students are learning in the program and top themes from students. A special thanks to Devin Deegan, the Student Employment and Engagement Specialist in OSFA, one of the AMAZING leaders of the WiGROW Steering Committee. Devin helps carry out the WiGROW program in general, including leading Steering Committee meetings, providing tool kits and resources for student employees, and having a major hand in developing the WiGROW Report.
