Student Hiring Automation

The Student Employment Team in the Office of Student Financial Aid is excited to share that the hiring automation enhancement through the Student Jobs Platform went live June 1, 2021. This enhancement allows Student help opportunities to be hired automatically to the campus hiring system (HRS). Since the hiring automation launch:

• 114 new job opportunities have been posted
• 2,453 applications have been submitted
• 49 offers have been created, accepted, and auto hired to HRS

While utilizing this enhancement is not required, it is showing to be a highly utilized function that reduces time for many across campus that are responsible for manually enter in student help hires. Aside from this enhancement we also wanted to take a moment to share metrics on the Student Jobs Platform in the last 12 months which includes 1,382 UW Student jobs being posted from 35 divisions and 27,950 applications received!  We know times have been challenging for everyone but it is great to see that opportunities are readily available for students and students are taking the opportunity and seeking for employment. We hope that all individuals in DEM that hire student staff capitalize on using the Student Jobs Platform and new student hiring automation process!
