Registrar website gets a facelift

The work our offices do is very important, which means how we communicate about it is equally important. We strive to make sure our audiences get the information they need and understand it easily. One of the main ways the Office of the Registrar (RO) does this is through our website. Over the past two and a half years (with a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic) the RO has been working on a project to evaluate, redesign, restructure and relaunch its website. The goal of this project was to improve usability, fix accessibility issues, and comply with university standards. The most noticeable result of the project is the adjusted navigation, which is now more topic-centric. Additionally, you may notice that several pages have been deleted or combined. Even though we’ve made quite a few changes, our URL is still the same and redirects have been applied to make sure that if people have old links they will get to the information they are looking for. The RO website is ever evolving and this relaunch is not the final stop in improving the site. These foundational changes have paved the way for further advancements on the site. Plans are currently being developed to further evaluate and adjust content, identified in this review, over the next year.  Additionally, a survey will be conducted of campus partners to gain feedback on the website relaunch and understand their opinions of the changes. If you have feedback you would like to provide about the relaunched website, email Ellen Clark. This effort was only made possible through a significant amount of teamwork. Members of the Registrar team and leadership spent over a month reviewing the new pages on the website, providing feedback, and attending meetings to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content on the new site. All of their contributions were made while maintaining the high standard of their daily work.  While excited for what is next, the RO wants to take this opportunity to reflect on and be grateful for the work that went into this relaunch.
