NEW: DEM Recruitment Toolkit
The Divisional Recruitment Improvement Project (DRIP) continues with the recent release of a new DEM Recruitment Toolkit. This toolkit is available to all DEM team members via ‘The Dem Inside’ here: https://staff.em.wisc.edu/recruit/. This toolkit includes several new initiatives to support future DEM Recruitments and will also be the home to new DEM Recruitment standards and resources.
Available now are 3 new initiatives which each provide an opportunity for DEM team members to actively support a future DEM recruitment:
- DEM Peer Ambassador Program – This program is designed to allow DEM team members to serve as a resource for a prospective candidate. Through a public DEM Recruitment Website (currently being finalized), candidates will have the option to connect with an ambassador to learn more about their experiences within DEM, UW–Madison, and/or the Madison community. An ambassador is designed to be an impartial connection between a current DEM Team member and a prospective candidate.
- DEM Search Committee Interest Form – This interest form will help to ensure anyone across the Division who is interested in serving can be considered to serve. Hiring Managers will be encouraged to reference this Interest Form when building out future Search Committees.
- DEM Talent Referral Program – This program is designed to help DEM recruit the most diverse and talented workforce possible. Referrals are submitted by any DEM Team Member to identify talented individuals who could bring value to a future DEM role. Once a referral is submitted, a DEM representative from OVPEM will be able to proactively follow-up with the individual to share more information about the Division, available DEM job opportunities, and answer any questions they may have.
