Student Employment Summer Summit Recap

On Wednesday, July 20th, the Student Employment team within the Office of Student Financial Aid hosted their second annual Student Employment Summer Summit. This event brought together supervisors, hiring managers, and others who support student employment across campus to connect and share knowledge and best practices pertaining to a variety of Student Employment topics. The half day of virtual programming featured two keynote presentations – Dropping the F-Bomb!  Challenging our notions of “fit” in the hiring process by DEM’s very own Lo Klink and Engaging First-Generation Students through Campus Employment: Roadmaps for Success by Matt Newlin. Participants were also able to choose their own adventure in selecting two breakout sessions to attend. The Summer Summit saw 208 unique attendees from across our campus community. If you were not able to attend, please feel free to view the session recordings and engage with the additional resources provided by our presenters on the Summit landing page.
