Experience Wisconsin Open House Returns

After two years, our Experience Wisconsin Open Houses—the largest undergraduate prospective student events we host on campus—are back!  On Friday, October 14 and Friday, October 21, we will welcome future Badgers and their families to campus for a full day of discovery and exploration.   Guests will fully customize their experience by choosing from a variety of academic, financial, resource-specific, and admissions-focused offerings and campus tours over the course of five breakout sessions throughout the day. New this year, students can also participate in a scavenger hunt activity.    Families will be encouraged to park at the Alliant Energy Center and take our free Experience Wisconsin Open House shuttle buses to and from campus to alleviate parking frustrations. They’ll arrive in front of the Kohl Center and be greeted by the OAR Team, who will direct them to check in at the Gordon Dining & Event Center lawn. An additional check-in location will be available at Union South. Events will take place across campus throughout the day.   To help our guests navigate campus, we have created event maps, a companion website with google navigation and walking directions from location to location, and information tables located at Union South and the Office of Admissions and Recruitment lobby.    Our future Badger guests will be wearing red lanyards and nametags, so if you see anyone wearing one who looks lost, please feel free to send them to our office or direct them to the web links on their nametag and map.    Thanks to the OAR Events Team for making this event possible and to the team members in OAR and DEM and our campus partners helping to staff this important event. Without you, we couldn’t make these events happen.
