Benefits Insurance Premiums Will Not Be Deducted from December 14 and December 28 Paychecks

Payroll deductions for benefits are changing effective December 1, 2023. Currently, benefit insurance premiums for most benefits are deducted one month prior to the coverage month. Starting in 2024, benefit insurance premiums will be deducted in the same month as the coverage month. Take-home pay may be higher in December since insurance premiums for State Group Health, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, and/or accident insurance will not be deducted. Benefits coverage will remain active in December 2023 and deductions for benefit insurance premiums will resume on the January 11, 2024 paycheck. Please note that team members that have back premiums owed may see deductions on the December 2023 paychecks.
