OAR Onboarding, Training, and Engagement Committees
This past spring, OAR launched a new committee approach to team member onboarding, training, and engagement. The purpose of the committee structure is to create a sustainable, effective, and efficient annual onboarding and training plan through engaging team members and subject matter experts from across OAR.
Committees include: Onboarding Steering Committee, Onboarding Subcommittee for Team References, Onboarding Subcommittee for Application Review, Recruitment Outreach and Customer Service, Counselor Training Committee, and the All-Team Training and Engagement Committee.
The committees have been meeting since the summer. The initial focus has been establishing their approach to collaboration, including how they will share information within and across committees so that there is clarity and distinction in each committee’s unique purpose and an understanding of points of intersection.
One recent initiative coming from these committees was planning our December all-team Meeting and holiday celebration. Another is that the Reference Committee is cataloging and consolidating the various locations and resources our office utilizes during training.
