Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) Annual Statement of Benefits

The WRS annual statement of benefits is a summary of a team member’s year-end retirement account information, including the effective rate of interest applied to the account. The statement includes your calendar-year earnings, retirement benefit projections, primary beneficiary designation(s) for your WRS account, and more. Team members can expect their WRS 2024 calendar year statements by mid-to-late April. To view last year’s statement of benefits for 2023, you can go to MyUW and launch the Benefit Information module. Then click on the tab for “ETF WRS Statements of Benefits” and go to the 2023 Statement Issued 2024. Thomasin Propson from the Office of Human Resources Benefits Services Office will present a DEM session on the “WRS Annual Statement and How to Estimate Future Retirement Benefits” in late April/early May. This session will discuss the employee WRS Annual Statement of Benefits from ETF (Employee Trust Funds), how to use ETF’s retirement benefits calculator, and what happens to benefits if employment ends before the employee is old enough to retire (e.g., before turning age 55).
