Spring Events
This spring, the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, schools, colleges, and offices across the university will offer a full suite of in-person and virtual events to admitted and prospective students.
This year’s admitted student events include three in-person Your UW Days for freshmen, held in March and April, as well as an array of programming throughout the spring that allow admitted students to create their own Your UW Day virtually through student panels, experiential learning panels, next step panels, and virtual tours.
Transfer students will also have an in-person Your UW Day in May, in addition to Transfer Visit Days and one-on-one meetings with the transfer team that are open to students at any point in their transfer process.
Along with Your UW Days, the Office of Admission and Recruitment will host numerous in-person Admitted Student Information Sessions and Campus Tours, Virtual Admitted Student Information Sessions, and a number of specialty events that include the Celebration of Admitted Multicultural Students and the Chancellor’s Reception for high-achieving students from Wisconsin. Wisconsin students will also be invited to join us for a breakfast reception during each Your UW Day.
Partners from across campus will take part in hosting the revamped, academic-focused afternoon portions of Your UW Day. Many schools, colleges, and departments will offer additional virtual or in-person opportunities for admitted students to connect with their academic programs and to learn about services and resources available to them on campus, including virtual and in-person Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer sessions with the Office of Student Financial Aid.
In addition, many partners from the schools, colleges, and other offices are offering events aimed at prospective students and their families to learn more about the university and what we have to offer. The Office of Admissions and Recruitment and Campus and Visitor Relations will offer prospective student Admission Information Sessions and Campus Tours pairings throughout the spring.
