Highlights from Fall Recruitment
Transfer recruitment has continued to focus primarily on one-to-one consultations with prospective students. In 2023, our team hosted over 670 virtual appointments, meeting prospective students where they are and providing customized admissions advice. Beyond Wisconsin, transfer counselors also visited community colleges in Minnesota, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington. Additionally, the team hosted Admitted Transfer Student Day on Monday, Dec 11.
OAR team members completed 519 school visits and 186 college fairs or speaking engagements hosted by a school. Half of the events were in Wisconsin, and 18% were overseas, with recruitment travel also occurring in Minnesota, Illinois, California, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Texas.
OAR visited 27 countries across Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and East/Central/Southeast Asia.
In addition to a robust travel season, OAR team members hosted over 8,300 campus visitors with Campus and Visitor Relations (CAVR) at Admissions Information Sessions and Transfer Visit Days. Together with our campus partners, we welcomed 2,000+ visitors at Experience Wisconsin Open Houses.
