Carryover Vacation and Personal Holiday Will be Lost if Not Used by June 30, 2025

Academic Staff (AS), Limited (LI) and University Staff (US) team members will lose their Carryover Vacation and/or Personal Holiday hours if not used by June 30, 2025. Please check your balances in the current HRS system by going to your MyUW portal, clicking on the “Time and Absence” tile, and then clicking on the “Leave Balances” tab at the top. Team members may be eligible to bank up to 40 hours of Carryover Vacation or Regular Vacation once they reach their 10th fiscal year of continuous service. If you are eligible to bank leave, Paula and Ann will reach out to you in July after we transition to the Workday system. You will have until the end of September 2025 to bank your unused Carryover Vacation or Regular Vacation. This applies to Academic Staff (AS), Limited (LI) and University Staff (US), who just moved to the fiscal year for leave. New fiscal year 2026 leave balances will be loaded into the new Workday system after July 7, 2025. For more information, please refer to the Vacation policy and the Personal Holiday policy.
