🧠Jira/Confluence Updates: New navigation experience coming soon, admin support group created
Atlassian is rolling out a new navigation experience across all Jira and Confluence instances starting in early July 2025. These updates are designed to improve usability, consistency, and customization across platforms.
Because Atlassian’s release falls in the middle of ATP’s Workday cutover, we have chosen to move to the new navigation experience early: the end of the day on June 5. This decision was made to provide users with time to adjust prior to the new settings prior to Atlassian pushing it out to us.
What’s Changing?
- The navigation menu on the homepage is transitioning from the horizontal toolbar across the top to a customizable vertical sidebar that lets you show, hide, or reorder items to suit your workflow. In addition, it creates a decluttered top navigation focused on essential tasks like Search and Create.
- The navigation menu in each Project is transitioning from a vertical side menu to tabs across the top of each project
