Public Art Photo Challenge
This event has passed.
The Well-Being task force has been focusing on promoting creative well-being. One way to inspire your own creativity is to look for inspiration around you, such as public art. It might be a sculpture you’ve walked past, or the bus stop that was yarn-bombed, or the mural you noticed while eating lunch. The Public Art at UW–Madison webpage has some examples of public art on campus.
For this photo challenge, we are encouraging people to create a team of 2-4 people and take two photos of public art from each of 6 categories (12 total photos):
-
Mural/painting
-
Statue/monument/sculpture
-
Architecture
-
Guerrilla/street art
-
Botanical
-
Wild card (fits any category/no clear category)
You can submit your photos through this Google Form by April 25. If more than one team completes the entire challenge, the Well-Being Task Force will choose a winner from among the submissions. Winners will receive a medal denoting that they were the 2025 Public Art Photo Challenge winners. We will also have a virtual meeting where people can share the stories behind the art represented in their images.
