Advisor Assignment Data Clean-Up – February 2019
As part of an ongoing partnership between the Office of Undergraduate Advising (OUA) and the RO to improve the integrity and accuracy of advisor assignment data within SIS, we distributed the results of two audits to the Academic Advising Policy Leaders (AAPL) for their review and correction:
1) A list of all students declared in each school/college that do not have an academic advisor currently assigned to them. We identified 155 students missing an academic advisor.
2) A list of all students that are currently assigned an advisor who no longer has an active HR appointment at UW–Madison. We identified 16 advisors, assigned to 228 active and 50 inactive undergraduate students.
We’ll replicate these audits twice per year, once in fall term and once in spring term. As this is the first time we’ve run and distributed these audits, we’re anticipating that these numbers will be significantly lower in future terms.
