Are you Driver Authorized?

All DEM staff (staff and student) need to drive a vehicle to conduct university business must be ‘Driver Authorized’. Not only does this ensure you are covered under the State’s Liability Protection, it is required in order to claim mileage reimbursement. Currently, there is a large portion of staff that are not authorized. If you submit a mileage claim and you are not driver authorized, your claim will be denied. In the near future, Business Services will automatically check your status and prevent anyone who is not driver authorized from submitting a mileage claim.
