Fall Event Successes and Spring Preview
Between August 2021 and December 2021, the Office of Admissions & Recruitment hosted 86 prospective student events and information sessions, with 10,665 registrants and 6,520 attendees as of November 5, 2021.
This includes 38 virtual information sessions, panels, and events, including four student panels, one two-day transfer advisor conference, a virtual Open House, and a virtual Transfer Your UW Day.
We hosted 48 in-person information sessions and events, including Scholars of Promise, four Transfer Visit Days, and two Experience Wisconsin Open Houses. The in-person Open Houses saw 1,338 visitors and included 33 campus partners offering information sessions across campus, including three faculty lectures.
We are excited to return to in-person yield events!
We plan for the return of our four in-person, day-long Your UW Day admitted student events (February 25, March 11, March 25, and April 8). The events team brainstormed ways to tweak the content to improve the student experience, and we are excited to introduce several changes to Your UW Day that will enhance the student experience.
To complement the Your UW Day programming, we will also offer a series of virtual Next Steps, High Impact Practice, and Current Student Q&A panels in February, March, and April. These panels will be accessible to all admitted students, not just those who attend in-person Your UW Day.
We are also finalizing details on our Admitted Student Chancellor Prime events for Wisconsin High-Achieving students including the Chancellor Visit Day on April 11.
On February 5, we are hosting a day-long event for College Possible prospective and admitted students, and on February 21 we are hosting a day-long event for Chicago Scholars admitted students.
We also plan to host a hybrid virtual and in-person Celebration of Admitted Multicultural Students with more information forthcoming.
