Early Action Admissions Decisions Releasing in Late January

The Office of Admissions and Recruitment team is currently focused on reviewing the 38,600+ completed freshman Early Action applications, which equates to us reviewing about 5,600 more applications at this time compared to last year.

All Early Action decisions will be released at the end of January, with the exception of our Posse cohort and Chicago Scholars, who already received their decisions. We are not releasing any decisions in December.

We messaged all Early Action applicants and high school counselors (20,000+) to share this information in order to be proactive and transparent about our process and to hopefully avoid disappointment for those anticipating a December release. While we have released some decisions in December in the past, we have said from the start that Early Action decisions will be released on or before January 31.
