Spring #FutureBadger Admitted Student Events

Admitted student events are a great way for our newly admitted students and their families to learn more about what it will be like to be a Badger, connect with fellow incoming and current students, learn about resources available on campus, and decide if UW–Madison is the right place for them. We offer a variety of ways to take part in these events, in person or virtually, to best fit our students’ interests and schedules. Admitted student can view all the #FutureBadger Admitted Student Events on Visit Bucky. They will need to be logged in with their NetID to see and register for these offerings. Some key highlights of our offerings include: Your UW Day This is a full-day event designed for our admitted students and their families to learn what life will be like as a UW–Madison Badger. Programming includes a campus resource fair, breakout sessions, tours, lunch in a dining hall, and a school/college-specific afternoon session so they can learn more about their chosen major. Your UW Day is offered on four Fridays between February and April. Celebration of Admitted Multicultural Students This day is designed to introduce students and their families to the UW–Madison opportunities and communities that nourish our diverse and inclusive student body. Guests will hear from faculty and staff, learn about housing and learning communities, take a deeper dive into academics, enjoy lunch in a dining hall followed by a campus tour, and engage with student organizations and other members of our campus community. For the first time, we are offering two Celebrations of Admitted Multicultural Students — one for EA students in February and one for RD students in April. The February event will also include admitted Chicago Scholars. Create your own Virtual Your UW Day Admitted students select the dates and times that work best for them to virtually explore and learn more. Programming includes a Virtual Next Steps Q&A Panel, Virtual Current UW–Madison Student Q&A Panel, Virtual Learning Beyond the Classroom Q&A Panel, and UW–Madison Virtual Tour App. Admitted Student Information Session and Campus Tour This is a campus visit designed for admitted first-year students. As they make their final college selection, they will hear why the University of Wisconsin–Madison experience is unlike any other and learn about next steps to becoming a Badger. The presentation is followed by a campus tour. Questions will be taken at the end of the presentation. Virtual Admitted Student Information Sessions are also available. Additional programming is available focused on academics, student life, paying for school, and additional resources and opportunities they’ll have as a Badger. These events fill very quickly, especially those for our Regular Decision students, so we highly encourage admitted students to register early.
