Efforts to Understand Workday Impacts to SIS

As implementation of Workday continues, the Division of Enrollment Management (DEM), in coordination with external SIS (Student Information System) partners, continues efforts to further understand the impacts of Workday to the SIS environment. In early October, the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) team met with the Board of Regents to revise the existing timeline. The Board approved a new go-live of July 2025. SIS Leadership, external SIS partners, and a few key players from ATP discussed existing challenges and next steps to support Workday implementation at a recent Planning Summit. Additionally, a group of representatives from the Office of Student Financial Aid, the Registrar’s Office, Bursar’s Office, and DoIT Student Applications convened to provide a platform for cross-DEM/SIS collaboration. Teams in these offices/departments are involved in implementation conversations, and these representatives are helping to break down the work for their respective areas. Additional representatives will be called upon to participate in the group as needed. Standing members include: · Eric Gentz – Financial Aid · Leslie Gardner – Registrar’s Office · Priya Sachithanandam – Registrar’s Office · Kim Alling – Security, Registrar’s Office · Ina Dick – Bursar’s Office · David Marty – DoIT Student Applications · Stacy Smith – Project Manager, Office of Strategic Consulting
