Federal Work Study Direct Placement

After a year of uncertainty and a lot of things being on hold, the Office of Student Financial Aid was excited to restart the Federal Work Study Direct Placement program. During the Academic Year, this program offers guaranteed employment opportunities across a variety of UW–Madison employers as well as select Federal Work-Study partners in the community to eligible students. The goal of the program is to streamline the process of getting students connected to a meaningful opportunity to earn their Federal Work-Study offer. This year the program has already matched over 100 students with employment opportunities which is more than double compared to previous years of the direct placement program. The direct placement program will be ongoing throughout the academic year and will continue to place students with employment opportunity as applications are received on a first come, first serve basis. Eligible students can apply for this opportunity through the Student Jobs Platform.
